Low Voltage DAS Technician

CTS, www.cts1.com, offers nationwide solutions in turnkey mobility design and deployment services - Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Small Cell, WLAN and Public Safety DAS, SD-LAN, Cellular coverage expansion indoor and outside. We work on high profile, cutting edge projects all across the US. We have multiple openings for Technicians wanting to learn and grow in Phoenix, AZ. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Low Voltage/ DAS Technician is a full-time position that will be supporting the installation of various Telecommunication systems being deployed in the field. Candidates require learning/training to become knowledgeable in the standards and processes to complete the construction and testing of these systems to meet customer and CTS’ standards.
Responsibilities:
Follow the direction of Field Manager/Foreman or Lead Technician
Installation of various low voltage cables (Twisted Pair, Coaxial, Fiber, DC Copper, Etc.), including the bundling (dressing), lacing and labeling
Installation of overhead cable supports and pathways (Stringers/Rods, J-hooks, Cable Tray, Ladder Rack, Fiber Trough, Fire Rates Sleeves, Firestopping, Etc.)
Installation of edge devices (Antennas, Amplifiers, Access Points and various Network components)
Assist with build out of IT Closets or Equipment Rooms (Racks, Wire Mgmt., Network Equipment, Etc.)
Able to read floor plans and take direction
Become proficient with cable installation standards and techniques
Become proficient at terminating various Low Voltage cable types
Become proficient at reading Blueprints, RF designs and floor plans
Become familiar with Fiber Terminations and Fusion Splicing
Become familiar with cable testing equipment and processes
Attend Daily Safety Meetings
Complete training courses, as assigned
Basic Housekeeping
Use Basic computer skills
Transporting materials
Qualifications:
Experience with DAS installations highly preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Clean driving record
Must pass a background check
Eager to Learn
Self-Motivated
Punctual
Physical ability to: carry tools, materials, & ladders; climb ladders, lift up to 50lb as-needed, and perform daily required tasks
